Riverfront Park was the setting on May 28 for the world premiere performance
of an original new work, "Memorial Day." The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, conductor David Itkin, soprano Susan Belcher, a handpicked chorus of 20 and a pair of pipers from Lyon College in Batesville presented the new work with music by Nolan Gasser and text by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
